We are seeking an experienced Hay Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Agronomist to support our client in Victoria. This full-time, permanent role requires frequent travel during harvest time. In addition to a competitive salary, this position offers the opportunity to earn commission.

Responsibilities:

• Liaising with growers and potential growers
• Assisting in business development
• Advising growers on export-quality requirements
• Conducting paddock inspections throughout the year
• Generating and promoting contracts with reliable farmers
• Collecting and preparing samples for testing, ensuring retained samples are stored and labelled correctly at the office
• Maintaining accurate records of tested and contracted hay
• Grading oaten hay and inspecting hay upon delivery

Requirements:

• Willingness to travel (employer-supplied vehicle)
• Strong understanding of OH&S regulations
• Proven experience in agronomy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
