FIP Group is the largest Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Scheme provider. We support over 170 employer sites Australia-wide and trade under the Regional Workforce Management (RWM) entity.
The PALM Scheme provides an opportunity for eligible Australian businesses to employ workers from nine Pacific Islands and Timor-Leste, when local labour is unavailable. With FIP Group, your business can recruit Pacific Island workers for up to four years for long-term unskilled, low-skilled or semi-skilled roles.
Pacific and Timorese workers can also build their skillset for when they return home as well as send support their families and communities by sending income home.

PALM Scheme FAQs

FIP Group supports across all roles within your operations across facilities for example Care Support personnel (Certificate III Aged Care qualified), Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinators, Cooks and Meal Prep staff, Domestic Assistants and hospitality services (e.g. laundry, kitchen and cleaning staff).

RWM, as the Approved Employer for the PALM Scheme, employs the workers and assigns them to the host business. RWM oversees the entire recruitment cycle, from recruitment and onboarding to visa processing, mobilisation and payroll management in Australia.

Mobilising PALM workers typically takes a minimum of eight weeks after recruitment application approval, provided all documentation is in order. Approved employers work with relevant government Labour Sending Units to select and interview workers.

Adjusting to a new country can be challenging, however, FIP Group provides extensive information and support to help workers settle and integrate into their new community. This includes assistance with personal finance, superannuation, banking, taxes, mobile phones, and clothing.
Additionally, we offer 24/7 pastoral care to foster a positive working environment and encourage community involvement. FIP Group’s onsite managers oversee client accounts and provide daily support, ensuring the welfare of the workers.

FIP Group can support aged care and healthcare facilities with long-term workers for up to four years under the PALM Scheme.

The Temporary Work (International Relations) visa (subclass 403) allows PALM workers to participate in the PALM Scheme in Australia. As part of the recruitment process, workers submit necessary documents and FIP Group handles the application on their behalf, coordinating with the Labour Sending Unit.

Only approved employers can hire under the PALM Scheme. FIP Group’s employing entity, RWM, has been an approved employer since 2018, successfully employing over 8,000 workers across various industries.
